ONE-DAY CHAN RETREATS

Saturday, 10th June

Chan is the original Chinese term for Zen. Our one- day retreats are based on the traditional Chan retreat: an opportunity for novices to learn the basic techniques of Chan meditation and experienced practitioners to deepen their practice.

The day consists primarily of periods of sitting meditation, interspersed with other practices such as walking meditation, Chinese yoga, and Prostration Practice.

Apart from specific times set aside for instruction, questions and discussion, the retreats are held in silence. Guidance on meditation practice is available from an authorised Chan meditation instructor.

Cost: £25 per person (concessions for low income/unwaged by arrangement) (Price includes refreshments & vegan lunch).
