Solitary Retreats

Maenllwyd Retreat Hut

During 2004 the WCF built a retreat hut at Maenllwyd Retreat Centre, and this is available for solitary retreats, for persons who are already familiar with Maenllwyd and who can safely manage the lighting and heating requirements. It is almost completely self-contained, with built-in cooking and heating facilities, and also running cold water. Toilets are provided in the nearby Chan Hall. It is well insulated and has windows on three sides giving excellent views over the surrounding countryside. The practitioner may meditate within the hut, or on the sheltered verandah.

Bookings are via WCF Bookings Secretary. The charge is £15 per day, payable to the Western Chan Fellowship.
